Why Do G/C/U Series Laser Markers Have Different Application Scopes?

Cable manufacturers always face a confusing problem: there is no one-size-fits-all laser marker that can perfectly adapt to all cable materials and production lines. Different cable insulation materials, production line speeds, surface characteristics and international marking standards create completely different requirements for laser equipment. This is the fundamental reason why Herten launched G Series, C series and U series independent models, instead of developing a single universal machine to meet all working conditions.

G Series: Designed for ultra-high speed production lines and various complex cable types. The G series Laser Marker is developed for large-scale cable factories with high-speed extrusion lines. Power cables, overhead cables, submarine cables, optical fiber cables, fire-resistant cables, high-voltage cables and various special cables have diverse outer sheath materials. The G series adopts high-power flying laser technology, which can keep clear and permanent marks under ultra-fast line speed. Its strong laser energy can penetrate dense and special cable materials stably, so it covers the widest application range among the three series, suitable for all conventional and special cable production scenarios.

C Series: Optimized for rubber, low-voltage colored cables and medium-speed production lines. The C series focuses on solving marking difficulties of soft rubber and colored low-voltage cables. Colorful low-voltage power cables, rubber cables, mining rubber cables, wiring wires and high-voltage ordinary cables have soft and elastic outer layers. Conventional high-power laser will cause over-burning and damage to cable surfaces, while ordinary low-power laser cannot leave obvious marks on colored rubber materials. The C series adopts adjustable energy laser source, which controls laser output precisely. It avoids surface damage on rubber materials and forms clear codes on colorful cable sheaths, so its application scope is concentrated on rubber and colored low-voltage cable production lines.
